Position Summary

The Clinical Nurse Liaison performs competence assessment-related activities for staff, domestic and international, for clinical position match and assignment success. Works collaboratively with departments across MedPro to achieve the organization’ s strategic goals. This position reports to the Senior Clinical Manager and the SVP/Chief Clinical Officer.




Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·       Conducts clinical and professional assessments of staff to determine the background and experience to fulfill an assignment. This includes reviews of skills assessments and evidence- based competencies.

·       Conducts regular assessments and evidence-based competencies to assist with future placement, enhance retention, and aid in professional development.

·       Provides support during assignments.

·       Develops and administers training programs to and remediate clinical staff as needed to improve quality of hire, inclusive of required frequency of reassessment.

·       Reviews customer-supplied evaluations of clinical performance.

·       Addresses customer concerns and complaints about performance, both clinical and professional.

·       Review and approve submission packages for domestic and international nurses to ensure experience and knowledge is accurate and complete.

·       Contributes to performance evaluations of clinical staff.

·       Develop working knowledge of educational institutions and clinical facilities affiliated with international clinicians to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of staff members.

·       Determines staffing firm action(s) in response to clinical staff performance issues (as example, restricting or changing assignments, permanent separation or reporting to professional boards, licensing authorities, law enforcement).

·       Provide clinical support for all Joint Commission related activities and overall quality initiatives.

·       Conduct analyses of reports, data, and assessments to determine conclusions and propose reasonable solutions.




Required Education, Experience, and Abilities

·       Acute care experience required.

·       5 or more years of critical care experience preferred

·       Demonstrates knowledge and experience in the care, treatment and services provided by the firm’ s clinical staff.

·       Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Master’ s Degree in Nursing is preferred

·       Experience as a nurse educator or preceptor strongly preferred.

·       Deep understanding of hospital policies and procedures

·       Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

·       Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
