Position Summary 
The Credentialing Assistant is responsible for assisting the Credentialing Specialists with ensuring that all healthcare providers meet the MedPro standards for hiring and employment within healthcare facilities across the United States.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Prepare new hire packages for field staff
  • Ensure no employee is active at work with expired Critical credentials or with Critical credentials that are beyond their re-verification date
  • Utilize SureStaff views to identify credentials with upcoming expirations and re-verifications. Prioritize activities, considering assignment/employment end dates
  • Conduct re-verifications on a timely basis
  • Communicate and establish productive relationships with candidates to update credentials on a timely basis. Assist candidates wherever necessary to update credentials. Utilize SureStaff tools to streamline process
  • Review all credentials submitted by candidate to ensure compliance. Update SureStaff records, including the upload of any emailed/faxed credentials
  • Escalate credentials for review issues to the Manager
  • De-activate credentials for employees no longer employed
  • Strong computer and data entry skills; Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Professional level written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail skills
